A few weeks ago, the Catalan Cricket Federation participated in the conference organized by the UFEC called the IV Catalan Sports Week.
This 2024, the FCC participated in the IV Catalan Sports Week, where our players from the Catalan Cricket Team were able to demonstrate that Cricket is also played and practiced in Catalonia. It was the first time that we participated in these conferences and we believe that we must continue to bet on these conferences, since we have had the opportunity to make ourselves known to all the sports federations, but it has also been the excuse to be able to invite a team from abroad, specifically from the UK, and let them know what measures and actions we take to promote Cricket.
It has been an incredible and enriching experience to share the two days with players from the UK, specifically from the NACC (National Asian Cricket Council) Team and all its staff. For the FCC it has been two days in which we have been able to demonstrate and explain what we do and who we are, not only to the NACC Team, but we have also been able to share moments with other people who do not know our sport and we have been able to show the UFEC what we do.
We also participated in the central event of the conference in which our President was able to convey to the President of the UFEC, Mr. Gerard Esteva, and to the Secretary General of Sports, Mr. Abel Garcia, our concerns and the needs we have to be able to practice Cricket in good conditions in Catalonia.
types of conferences are not only spaces for practicing sports, but they are much more, they are spaces to share, to learn, to meet, to create bonds and above all to have a good time. As the Catalan Cricket Federation we will do everything in our power to accompany the clubs that already exist in the transformation of Cricket, but we will also be the first to offer the players of the Catalan National Team the professionalization of our sport.
